FLU Campaign 2024

*IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Eligibility for flu vaccination is based on the advice and recommendations of the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI). Based on the evidence that flu vaccine’s effectiveness can wane over time in adults JCVI have advised moving the start of the programme for most adults to the beginning of October.

You are eligible to receive a FREE flu vaccine if you meet any of the following criteria:

  • aged 65 years of age and over
  • receive carers allowance, or you are the main carer for an elderly or disabled person whose welfare may be at risk if you fall ill
  • close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
  • those aged 6 months to under 65 years in a clinical at risk group
  • those in long stay residential care homes
  • are pregnant
  • children aged 2 or 3 on the 31st August 2024
  • frontline workers in a social care setting without an employer led occupational health scheme 

Our clinics for the following patients are planned as follow – APPOINTMENT BOOKING REQUIRED:

  • those aged 6 months to under 18 years in a clinical at risk group
  • are pregnant
  • children aged 2 or 3 on the 31st August 2024
  • Saturday 14th September 2024 – appointment only 9:00 – 17:00 

Our clinics for the following patients are planned as follow – DROP IN SESSIONS – NO APPOINTMENT REQUIRED:

  • aged 65 years of age and over
  • receive carers allowance, or you are the main carer for an elderly or disabled person whose welfare may be at risk if you fall ill
  • close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
  • those aged 18 Years to under 65 years in a clinical at risk group
  • those in long stay residential care homes
  • frontline workers in a social care setting without an employer led occupational health scheme 
  • Thursday 3rd October 2024 – drop-in 07:30-12:30 & 13:30-18:30* 
  • Thursday 17th October 2024 – drop-in 07:30-12:30 & 13:30-18:30* 

*IMPORTANT NOTICE:

We will be following NHSE guidance regarding the administration of Autumn COVID booster vaccinations and where available, we will offer these at the same time.
